Jeans for Genes

5 October 2012

Today is Jeans for Genes Day, which is an annual fundraising event to raise money for Genetic Disorders UK. The charity asks you to wear a pair of jeans for the day, whether you’re at school or going to work, to raise awareness and develop an understanding of genetic disorders. In return, you’re asked to make a donation, no matter how small, in an attempt to raise money to help support the children and their families who are dealing with genetic disorders.

The Facts (Taken from http://www.jeansforgenesday.org)

Not only is this a bit of fun for the whole office on a Friday, but all donations go towards providing children with genetic disorders and their families with practical support, such as day-to-day equipment, and organising other events where those with genetic disorders and loved ones can come together to give each other that extra support they need.

We are showing our support at the JFL office wearing our jeans!

But don’t worry if you’re not wearing your jeans! It doesn’t just have to be today to show your support to those with genetic disorders, you can make a donation at anytime to Genetic Disorders UK at http://www.geneticdisordersuk.org/donate.
